A Source for a need project lets you source candidates to fill a specific client need. When creating it, you attach the need to fill (title, skills, criteria). Cobalt uses it to surface the most relevant profiles via the People Search Engine. The Kanban view (columns by status) is the default: move each candidate forward through your sourcing pipeline.
