Cobalt is designed so you can go from sign-up to productive in a single session. This guide walks you through every step — from creating your account to running your first AI-powered candidate search and generating a polished skills document. Cobalt’s support team is available if you hit any snags along the way.

Create your account

Go to app.cobalt-ia.com and create your account with your work email and a password. You get immediate access to evaluate the platform with real data.

Add your recruiters and business managers to your workspace, then assign them a role.

Set up your workspace

On first login, the guided setup helps you fill in the essentials: company name and logo, document templates, email connection, and import of your existing data.

Run your first AI search

Open the Sourcing tab and type a natural-language request into the Balt search bar. You don’t need boolean operators or complex filters — just describe what you’re looking for in plain language.Example query:
Senior Java developer, 5+ years of experience, available within 3 weeks, ideally based in Paris
Balt searches your internal database and public profiles, understands synonyms and job title variants, and returns ranked candidates with match explanations. From the results, you can enrich contact details, add candidates to a project, or launch an outreach sequence in one click.

Generate your first skills document

Select any candidate from your results or pipeline and click Generate Skills Document.
  1. Choose a template (your default template is pre-configured with your logo and colors).
  2. Review the auto-populated candidate summary — edit any field directly in the editor.
  3. Click Export to download a client-ready PDF or Word document.
