# Multichannel sequences

> Automate outreach campaigns across Email, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp with AI-personalised messages and built-in anti-spam protection.

Sequences let you run coordinated, multichannel outreach campaigns that feel genuinely personal. Cobalt's AI generates a unique opening line for every candidate based on their actual profile, so your messages stand out in crowded inboxes. You can run multiple sequences simultaneously; the platform handles timing, deliverability, and smart pausing automatically.

## Create a sequence

  Connect your LinkedIn account and email before launching sequences. Go to **Personal settings** to link your accounts.

  <Step title="Go to Sequences → New Sequence">
    From the main navigation, open **Sequences** and click **New Sequence** to open the visual builder.

  <Step title="Name your sequence and choose your audience">
    Give your sequence a descriptive name and select your target audience — candidates or business prospects — so Cobalt applies the right personalisation context.

  <Step title="Add steps and set delays">
    Build your outreach flow by adding steps one by one. Choose the channel for each step — **Email**, **LinkedIn InMail**, **LinkedIn direct message**, or **WhatsApp** — then set the delay before the next step triggers (e.g., wait 3 days).

  <Step title="Write your messages or let AI personalise them">
    Draft your message manually using dynamic variables, or click **AI Generate** to let Cobalt write a unique, context-aware opening line for each recipient based on their actual profile, experience, and skills — not just their first name.

  <Step title="Add branching conditions">
    Insert conditional logic into your sequence to handle different scenarios. For example: *if no reply after 3 days, send a LinkedIn follow-up; if the candidate clicks the link, move to the next step immediately.* Drag-and-drop branches directly on the visual canvas.

  <Step title="Enable A/B testing (optional)">
    Split your audience between two message variants to test subject lines, tones, or calls to action. Cobalt tracks open rates and reply rates per variant in real time so you can identify and scale what works.

  <Step title="Launch your sequence">
    Activate the sequence. Cobalt sends messages on your behalf at the scheduled intervals, auto-detects each recipient's language from their profile, and **pauses the sequence automatically the moment a candidate replies** — so no one receives a follow-up after they have already responded.

## Auto-language detection

Cobalt reads the language set on each candidate's profile and sends your message in that language automatically. You write the sequence once; Cobalt handles localisation per recipient.
